Confocal micrograph of a stage 10 chicken neural plate explant (diameter 140-150 micron) that has been exposed to 7X10-9 M SHH-N for 24h.  Floor plate cells (labeled for HNF-beta in red) are concentrated at the periphery whereas motor neurons (labeled for Isl-V2 in green) and unlabeled cells are concentrated at the core.
